Welcome to a new Winged Edition. Summer is in full swing. So are the winged ones. New species appears weekly. And newborns as well.
This is a meme, or meeting place, for everything with wings. I´d like to see flying creatures from all over the world. The purpose with memes is to visit other participants and to have fun. This meme is small, surely you have time to visit and comment each others posts. Let me see you around. But as you know I am a busy woman but I always returns a visit.

I enjoy very much to go to this little lake and watch the young grebes grow. This one still rides on the parents back at times.
In Sweden we celebrate Midsummers Eve tomorrow. Wishing everyone a great holiday.

Wonderful shot of the Horned Grebe with it's chick. I have yet to see any variety of Grebe in the places where I do most of my bird photography.

ReplyDeleteWe got out on kayak last night to paddle around some small lakes & streams that are not accessible by vehicle. It was my birthday wish for the day, and it was great to be with the loons calling, the eagles fishing, ducks flying, and I floated up close to several red winged black birds in the cattails.. some just babies with fuzz covered heads, learning to fly! Thanks for hosting. I was happy to find your blog this week & follow along!
