Welcome to a new Winged Edition. The summer was short but there are still wings flying around outdoors. And on the other side of the globe summer is approaching. :) I hope you will join in.  This is a meme, or meeting place, for everything with wings. I´d like to see flying creatures from all over the world.  This is a very common butterfly in Morocco. We spotted it almost everywhere. But I can understand why they migrate to the northern part of Eurpoe in summer. Morocco is a very harsh environment for butterflies. They were small and very worn out. I have better shots of it but I think this shot shows what it had to deal with. Not only the dryness and harsh sun but the blowing sand as well. Strange what these delicate creatures can put up with.  I did see larger and fresher ones but most of them was like this.
