NF Abstract 34

NF Abstract, a meme for abstract photo art and creative work. I start this meme as I hope to challenge myself in my photography and artwork. To me, so far, it is all about photography and manipulation of my shots in a, hopefully, creative way. Lately I have started to also create the images, not just document what I find. Now I want to proceed. And I hope some of you want to share that process with me.

The topic can, of course, be interpreted in many ways and you can use whatever means you want as long as the result is Abstract.

Welcome to a new edition of NF Blo-Ma.  A meme all about Flowers and Macro shots. The name might need an explanation for international players. Blo comes from the Swedish word for flower, blomma and Ma is for macro. English translation would be Flo-Ma but that does not sound so good in Swedish so Blo-Ma it is. Thanks everyone who joined last week.

Sometimes you find nice flowers when you have to mind your feet walking over a cattle grid. It was growing in the ditch with standing water.

In last weeks NF Abstract I had one of those colorful, shiny, images. Seemed to be quite popular. So I give you some more this week. This is quite simple to do if you have an hour o spare and want to play around a bit.  I did it in my sink. Used a wine glass and a yellow aluminium sheet I bought in the bookstore. And water and light of course. I think it is the lamp that lits up the sink when you do the dishes that is used. Looks better then the flash. But is a bit harder.

Somebody said it is Leovi style. But it is not. It is NatureFootstep style. I´m no copycat. I did this kind of shots long before I even knew about him. I like to play sometimes. He is actually the reason why I rarely post images like this. If there is too much of something I avoid it. But this week I´ll post colorful and shiny.

Have fun catching light. Where ever you find it.

This dragonfly never sits on a straw. At least not were you can find it.  But it does make stops in it´s flight patern before a quick turn. Takes some practise before you learn how to catch it. Still most of the shots turn out bad. But it is still fun trying. Occasionally you get a rather good one.

Trying out the new "waterproof" camera. I bought a little one that is waterproof for 5m. Can have a little fun with it. Our water in the lake is too dark to really get great shots. I have to be close to the object I want to capture. Here it is the sunlit waterlily.

Jag tror de här två är älggräspärlemorfjäril och  skogspärlemorfjäril/ allmän pärlemorfjäril men är inte helt säker. Den lilla såg ut att uppvakta den stora.

 

I think these two are Lesser Marbled Fritillary and High Brown Fritillary but are not entirely sure. The small one seemed to woo the big one.

This was actually a VERY over exposed image and I was about to delete it. But then I thought it had potential. Making it a negative changed it completely. Nobody can see who she is but that is what abstract is all about.
